Talk to a pastor if you want to pray with someone today. Remember, we also have prayer time here in the auditorium from 10:00–10:25am.

If you would like to know more about meeting Jesus, pick up a “Yes” packet from one of our pastors or at the back table in the auditorium.

Mexico is Three Weeks Away

With three weeks until the mission team leaves for Mexico, God continues to pour out blessings on our preparation!! To date, we have received 60% of the targeted $50,000 that will allow our team to complete two home remodels, add a school classroom, finish bathrooms, install church windows, complete the church floor tiling, supply the school with three computers, begin construction of a regional seminary building, build steps up to the church on a hill, and freshen the school building with a new coat of paint!

If you are a team member, I can't emphasize enough how important it is that you communicate with the folks praying for you and financially supporting the mission trip.  Encourage them with how far we have come, and thank them for considering supporting the trip.

If you are a member of the Riversgate family, thank you for your prayerful support and generous giving.  If you are able and feel led to support the trip financially, please know your offering will be multiplied through people and resources far beyond what a dollar could accomplish in the United States!

Portland CityFest

Consider making the Portland CityFest part of your summer plans. This free, family-fun event is sponsored by the Luis Palau association. Besides some great speakers, there will be something for everyone during these two full days of activities.  www.portlandcityfest.com

Family Fun Zone:  Let the kids loose! Young ones will enjoy ventriloquist Mark Thompson, VeggieTales characters, inflatables, crafts, carnival games, and much more. Older kids will enjoy testing their athletic skills with the Portland Trail Blazers and other outdoor sports.

Christian artists:  Kutless, TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Kirk Franklin, and Mercy Me.

Action sports:  World-class skateboarders, BMX team riders, and X-Games freestyle motocross demos — a show unlike anything you've seen.

Service Opportunity:  Want to get involved? Check the festival website for a list of service projects throughout the greater Portland area this summer. At the festival, everyone who served will be able to celebrate all that was accomplished.

College Group on Thursday, July 10th, from 7:00—8:30pm

Here’s a great opportunity to meet with other college-age people. Join this new group at the Arnold’s home (4314 SW Marigold St., Portland) this Thursday for a discussion-based evening. This week, we’ll talk about how the 10 commandments can be a practical reality in the life of a twenty-something.

Celebrate Recovery—Friday evenings

at The Gate (church office) 3612 SW Troy St.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on God's word. This "large umbrella" program addresses drugs, alcohol, gambling, co-dependency, eating disorders, addictive relationship issues, and emotional hurts and wounds from the past that have never healed. Riversgate Youth

Tilikum Day Camp for students entering grades 1 - 6

July 14th  – July 18th

Five days of outdoor adventure:  swimming, rafting, hikes, archery, animals, bible studies. We're gearing up for a week of fun and fellowship!

Tilikum is less than a month away, so make sure you get your registration and deposit to Bethany!  For further information and registration forms, check the back table or visit www.riversgate.net. Scholarships are available.
