Sunday School Classrooms
"And He took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” Mark 10:16
God charges us to provide a safe, loving environment where children of all ages can learn about the living Word, Jesus, and the written Word, the Bible. We choose and write age-appropriate curriculum so that kids can leave knowing they are loved by the Lord and by their teachers. We want parents to feel secure and confident in this as well so that they can take in the Word during service without distraction.
Our classrooms are all located downstairs and are divided by age/grade into four different groups:
- Nursery, for babies from birth to 17 months
- Toddler Class
- Preschool Class
- Gateway, kindergarten through 5th grade
The Gateway class, which is separated into small groups by grade level, gets its name from a very special Bible verse: “And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” 2 Peter 1:11. The focus of gateway is to study the word, praise and worship the Father and Son and learn to better listen to the Holy Spirit. Each week we work on hiding the word in our hearts through memorization, direct teaching and small group discovery time. Students spend their morning working independently or with a peer, in small groups and together in a large group. Gateway is an exploratory, Jesus-centered class for all k-5th grade students.
